Travel details
Oxford is centrally located in England and is easily accessible from many parts of the country. We recommend public transport as car parking is difficult, and certain roads in central Oxford are closed to private cars. Oxford is served by many coaches, buses, and trains. The train station in Oxford is about 15 mins walk from centre, and there are regular local buses.British Rail was privatised some years ago and there are many independent rail services. This has led to some confusion in pricing. You can obtain discounts by booking in advance.

The Coach station in Oxford is centrally located at Gloucester Green (next to the market square) which is about 10 mins walk from Congress venues. For buses from London the stop before the central bus station is called Queen's Lane and is almost directly outside the main entrance to the Examination Schools building.
